What’s unique about us? Well we are associates who have become friends and friends who have become associates!

In the words of Paul of Purple Patch Consultancy:

The difference with us is that we have strong ethics, we are all passionate, and professional in every thing we do. And we have great credibility with our of clients – for examples, go to- what others say and see what some of our clients say about our coaching.

So while there may be quite a few of us working with ACT, about seven and growing…….. you get a really personalised  and totally customised  service, with amazing personal and business results AND you get  totally professional and passionate people to work in partnership with. Which is why I formed ACT from a group of friends and associates, the associates have worked together in the field of leadership, management, organisational development and coaching for twenty years. Most of us have been coaching for over ten years and facilitating learning for twenty years. Friends with associated specialism’s have joined us as well and now we have specialists in business development, child care, project management and procurement as well as the rest.

ACT has formed to provide a perfect match! – a breadth and diversity of styles and expertise to best fit you.

Sue Duncan

Sue set up “ACT” as she is passionate about people having choice and diversity. She is an accomplished professional with over 18 years experience in organisational development and change management.

Sue works with people & organisations on complex change issues, such as performance, talent, organisational, cultural, behaviour and career change. She can work with you in a practical, yet confidential and professional way through facilitation and coaching, while helping people, teams and business realise and develop potential to meet the challenges they face .Critical to success in Sue’s view is effective development and good pairing of coaching partners. ACT will give you that range of styles and approaches that you can match to the development activities and coaching most appropriately.

Sue’s style is consultative and pragmatic, her approach is to combine tested approaches with new thinking and best fit for each situation, together with practical tools that can be artfully applied, While she has an approach that development interventions and coaching can be enjoyable, easy and fun, it is also credible in achieving results to enhance behavioural change and improve performance.

Martin Eldon

Martin Eldon

Martin has over 20 years experience in the field of management training¸ facilitation and coaching. He has trained people from a wide variety of backgrounds across a broad range of Management areas Martin previously worked in a management position in a Programme Office where he trained and coached programme and project managers in project management principles, helping them to develop Project Plans and control their £Multi Million/Multi-National Projects.

Martin is a Certified Trainer and Master Practitioner of NLP and also a Master Trainer of Time Line Therapy™. He has been running open programmes at both Practitioner and Master Practitioner since 1994. He has presented at numerous conferences and has made several radio and TV appearances.

Martin has been an Associate Lecturer with the Open University Business School since 1990. He currently runs a course entitled “Creativity, Innovation and Change”, which forms a part of the OU MBA Programme. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (MCIPD).

Chris Graham

Chris has been a Freelance Trainer and Coach since 1988. During this time he has worked with a diverse range of private and public sector Organisations including the Greater London Authority and London Development Agency. He is able to work with people on complex issues in a “down to earth” way quickly gaining the confidence of people at all levels within an Organisation. His Coaching specialism’s include; how to deal with difficult behaviour, confidence building, how to manage and or cope with change, and effective workplace learning techniques (becoming an “Opportunist” learner).

Chris is able to apply draw upon a number of models that can be applied to coaching sessions as required. These models include Transactional Analysis, SWOT, GROW and Egan’s Skilled Helper Model. His style of delivery is both enthusiastic and pragmatic. He uses lots of real life examples to illustrate points and uses humour to create a climate conducive to Coaching.

Paul Mallinson

After 18 years with a blue chip pharmaceutical company, Paul Mallinson decided to take the experience he had gained and set up Purplepatchconsultancy.

Paul believes in taking well proven theory and converting it into simple to understand, pragmatic learning that can be applied consistently across all situations. The style of consultation and delivery is very down to earth and practical, which enhances the chance of success. Based on experiential learning and practical participation, Purplepatchconsultancy programmes are jargon free, fun and give delegates instant tools that they can apply from the start.

Paul’s experience relate to 10 years in the selling environment, with 5 of those years as a manager. Which then led to spending 4 years as a Sales Training Manager, managing a team of 35 trainers, and responsibility for developing sales representatives; from recruitment to sales competent. The development of the Sales Management team was also a high priority, with coaching, motivation, planning and organisation as the main thrust.

Paul then spent 4 years heading up the Corporate Learning and Development function, to manage a large culture change programme that included the roll out of the organisational vision/mission/values. To ensure an integrated approach, he also managed the design and launch of a Performance Management System and an externally recognised and accredited Management Development Programme.
